- Plus display this tasty pineapple whip artwork in your home!
There are few theme park snacks as tasty as Disney’s Dole Whip. Since it was introduced to the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts, the pineapple soft serve has achieved cult-favorite status along with Mickey pretzels and churros. With the recently-released Disney Dole Whip recipe, you can experience this refreshing treat whenever you want at home.
Disney released the “Frozen Pineapple Treat” recipe on the My Disney Experience App, and it’s surprisingly simple, with just 3 ingredients.
Disney Dole Whip Recipe
Dole Whip Ingredients:
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
4 ounces of pineapple juice
2 cups of frozen pineapple
Instructions to Make a Dole Whip:
Add all 3 ingredients to a blender, and blend it until it’s smooth. You can serve it as-is, but Disney suggests putting the blended mixture into a piping bag and piping a swirl into your bowl for the soft-serve look. Top with a cocktail umbrella for an extra tropical touch.
FYI: Grown-ups may want to add a shot of their favorite dark rum or coconut rum to mix. This creates a boozy pineapple whip worthy of Trader Sam himself.
Dole's Dole Whip Recipe
Dole whip at the Disney Parks is usually dairy-free. In response to Disney releasing the above recipe the Dole fruit company has released its own recipe that doesn't use any ice cream.
1 cup pineapple juice frozen
1 banana, peeled and frozen
2 and 1/2 teaspoons powdered sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage
Instructions to Make a Dole Whip:
Add all ingredients into a blender until smooth.
This pineapple whip artwork was inspired by the beloved frozen treat as well as the trendy vector-perspective art style. The artist started with a pencil and watercolor sketch drawn like during the weekly Tiki Tuesday virtual cocktail party on Twitch. Next Brian used the watercolor sketch as the basis for a vector-perspective illustration created on iPadPro with Apple Pencil using the Adobe Illustrator app. The finished artwork is just as tasty as the frozen pineapple whip itself!
This Museum-quality art print of Pineapple Whip is illustrated by artist: Brian Miller (Star Wars, The X-Files, Doctor Who) and produced on heavy matte, acid-free, archival paper. Available exclusively from Oktopolis.
